Service Description
Maplewood Arts was founded to provide Classical skills-based training, promote visual literacy, and to advance the understanding that great art begins with great themes expressed through mastery. Each session this summer will be centered around an artistic theme and offer students the opportunity to work alongside a professional artist, have a firsthand experience of the school’s “learning through making” pedagogy, and to join the studio's community. Students will experience a wide range of media, strategies for making art and media handling, expand your technical skill and artistic development. Each session will focus on a different theme, projects will not repeat, - and if taken again - will increase in complexity. For this reason students may register for more than one summer session. Artists of all levels are welcome and will be grouped by age and ability. Appropriate for ages 10 - 18.
