Finding Your Voice: Color & Space

Service Description

This class offers students a more advanced study of painting and an in depth understanding of all color media. This course’s focus is on the development of an advanced understanding of color and how light, color and edge combine to visually communicate form, space, surface, texture, and mood. Students will be taught to paint using various toned grounds, underpainting, glazing, and scumbling techniques. Students move through a range of media including acrylic paint, oil paint, watercolor and more, with a strong focus on skill building, color theory, composition, and visual communication. Registration: By invitation after completing one full year, or by portfolio approval. *May be repeated based on student skill level and interest. Projects do not repeat and become student driven over time.

Cancellation Policy

For year-round classes: Students may make up one missed class every 30 days up to three per year. Make ups must be completed within 30 days of the missed class and reserved at least 24 hours in advance. Monetary refunds will not be issued for missed classes. Week-long summer sessions: May be refunded if canceled more than 7 days prior to the start of the session. Any summer sessions cancelled due to low enrollment will be offered a full refund.
