Service Description

Start your child's art education where they will learn methods for seeing and drawing. This class offers younger students a place to begin the study of drawing fundamentals. Students will take their first footsteps on the path to developing exceptional artistic skills. Students will develop patience, mental stamina, quality control and the critical thinking necessary to progress as an artist. Starting with unlearning bad drawing habits and learning to see like an artist. Students are taught to identify light and shadow boundary lines and understand light as the basis of form, mass, and weight. Students will be shown how to measure and depict proportion and scale like an artist, and learn and engage in observational drawing and understand it as the basis of all artwork, learn how composition often determines meaning, and how to construct an artistic piece. As students progress, the use of markers, colored pencils, and watercolor will be introduced. Students will move from a direct instruction model to a guided instructional model as they progress. Both group and individual instruction will be provided daily.
